  • HVWS Systems Are Installed To Extinguish Fires Involving Liquids With Flash Points 65deg C Or Higher

  • The Spray System Is Tapped From Nearest Existing Yard Hydrant Network And The System Comprises Of Network Of GI Piping Upstream And Downstream To Deluge Valve, Sprinkler Bulb Detectors, Water Sprayers/ Nozzles/ Projectors.

Automatic Operation Of HVWS System Is Achieved By Using Deluge Valves Triggered By Quartzoid Bulb Detectors On A Pipe Ring Charged With Water At Fire Mains Pressure. PB Operation For DV Shall Be Provided In The DV Control Panel. Solenoid Valve Is Operated Through DVLCP Or From Control Panel Along With An Isolation Valve Provided At Upstream & Downstream Side Of Each Of The Deluge Valve. A Strainer ('Y' Type) Is Provided Upstream Of Deluge Valve

  • System Is Pressurized With Water Continuously Up To The Upstream Of Deluge Valve Using Pumps And Connected To A Reliable Source Of Water Supply (Wet Network). The Piping Network Above The Control Valve Remains Empty Consisting Open Spray Nozzles/projectors (Dry Network).

The Minimum Running Water Pressure At Any Projector/spray Nozzle In Case Of HVW Spray System Is Considered NOT Be Below 3.5 Kg/cm²(g) And NOT To Exceed 5.0 Kg/cm²(g)

Water Density For All Surfaces Of Transformer And For Other Equipment’s/areas Covered By HVW Spray System Is Considered As 10.2 Lpm/Sq.m.

Facility For Manual Initiation Of Deluge Valves Locally, Through Hand Operation Is Also To Be Provided.
